Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) involves the therapeutic application of various hands-on techniques to promote full-body healing. Our Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) manipulates soft tissue as well as the deep muscles, underlying fascia, ligaments, and bones to treat a wide range of conditions and promote optimal health.

Osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) physicians use a holistic approach, focusing on the whole person to find out what’s causing their symptoms. The DO will use a combination of non-invasive techniques that promote healing by balancing the circulatory, immune, and lymphatic systems with the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. This type of treatment aims to reduce pain, improve range of motion, and encourage blood flow.

Garren Gebhardt, DO, is a physician who is highly skilled in the many techniques used in OMM to help diagnose, prevent, and treat patients. He uses a whole-person approach to medicine that incorporates lifestyle and environmental factors into his practice to help promote healing from within the body.
Is OMM Right for You?
Adults and children* may benefit from seeing an OMM physician to help support homeostasis. In addition to using their hands for diagnosis and treatment, OMM physicians may request additional testing, medication, and the use of other techniques if necessary.
