This treatment uses vaporized liquid nitrogen to promote a natural healing response within the body. Exposing the body to sub-zero temperatures (between -130 and -180 degrees Fahrenheit) for short periods of time (one to three minutes) allows people to experience a boost of endorphins and a surge of energy.
While the effects of skin cooling last for just five minutes, the changes in the body’s inflammatory response sometimes last for days.
People with joint pain, chronic pain, bone and joint injuries and mood disorders often benefit most from cryotherapy. The treatment helps decrease inflammation, lessen pain and improve muscle recovery. Each session is 15 minutes.
While traditional saunas warm the body with a heat generator, an infrared sauna uses light energy to heat the body. As a result, infrared saunas provide healing benefits at lower temperatures than in a traditional sauna, creating a more efficient way for the body to relax, destress and detoxify.
Infrared saunas are shown to help ease chronic pain and fatigue, reduce stress, improve heart function and circulation, decrease cortisol levels, improve muscle recovery, and increase exercise tolerance. Each session is 25 minutes, you can work up to longer sessions as your bodies adapt to the heat.
Salt Room Therapy
This treatment occurs in a relaxing room lined with purified Himalayan salt. Breathing in the salt particles allow people to relieve stress and fatigue.
Salt room therapy may improve skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Treatment may reduce inflammation caused by conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and cystic fibrosis. It also may help relieve sinus congestion.
Each session is 25 minutes.
Thermal suite services are not standalone medical treatments. Instead, they’re used with other therapies. Some services may worsen specific health conditions such as serious heart disease.
